Job summary

Professional Services Group (PSG) and Community Impact Programs are seeking Wisconsin-licensed mental health counselors to serve as School-Based Therapists in our school-based programs. The role involves providing individual, group and family therapy within K-12 schools, with collaboration with school personnel and families.

Part-time with potential to grow to full-time as caseload develops, typical hours align with school schedules (7:30am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday).

Qualifications

• Master's degree and licensure to provide mental health therapy in Wisconsin (LPC or LCSW).
• Experience providing services to students K-12 in a school setting preferred.
• Knowledge of family systems and trauma-informed care is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess the therapeutic needs of clients and complete formal assessments.
• Create and review client treatment plans.
• Provide psychotherapy in accordance with the child's treatment plans.
• Intervene in emergencies/crisis as an advocate for clients.
• Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities.
• Provide consultation to the child's school and school personnel as needed.
• Coordinate services and maintain communication with all service providers involved with the clients.

Are you a Wisconsin state licensed mental health counselor, who enjoys working with adolescents and serving your community? We are accepting resumes for School-Based Therapists in our School-Based programs! Professional Services Group provides school-based services in various counties and school districts.

Our programs work with children and their families who are struggling with academic and behavioral concerns within the school environment. School-Based staff go directly into the school to provide intervention, including: individual and group therapy, education/consultation and collaboration for school personnel, and family therapy as needed.

Ideal candidates will enjoy having summers off or reduced summer hours. Part-time summer hours are available in addition to those associated with the 9-month salary. Candidates should have an interest in providing services to students K-12 in a school setting. Those with experience with working with schools and an understanding of family systems, the effects and treatment of children and teens who have suffered emotional trauma are also preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES OF OUR SCHOOL-BASED THERAPIST:

HOURS AND LOCATION:

This position is part-time with the opportunity to develop into full-time as you build a caseload. Hours may vary depending on school hours of operation, but typical hours are Monday-Friday between 7:30am-5:00pm to allow for morning or evening meetings.

We are looking for Licensed Therapists to work with students in Washington County District Schools, West Allis/West Milwaukee School District and Walworth County Area Schools

This position may require travel to different schools within the districts, with mileage reimbursement.

SALARY: $28.00 per hour.

REQUIREMENTS:

• All applicants must possess a master's degree and licensure to provide mental health therapy in the State of Wisconsin; LPC or LCSW.
