Job summary

Robin Recovery in Whitehall, Ohio is seeking a Primary Licensed Therapist to provide clinical support for individuals recovering from chemical dependencies. You will guide clients through psychological and behavioral aspects of recovery while coordinating with a multidisciplinary medical team.

The role involves in-office and program-setting work with flexible, daytime hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, under the supervision of the Clinical Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher required.
• LSW, LPC, MFT or equivalent credential preferred.
• Experience with evidence-based modalities (CBT/DBT/MI).
• Strong assessment, planning, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Clinical assessments evaluating mental and physical health and readiness for treatment.
• Develop and regularly update personalized recovery plans with goals and interventions.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed for safety.
• Educate families about addiction and supportive strategies.
• Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare referrals (AA/NA, employment services).
• Maintain confidential EMR documentation and reports as required.

Job Summary:

The therapist position at Robin Recovery, provides clinical support to individuals recovering from chemical dependencies. Their primary role is to guide clients through the psychological and behavioral aspects of recovery while coordinating with a multidisciplinary medical team.

Core Responsibilities

• Clinical Assessments: Evaluate client’s mental and physical health, the severity of their addiction, and their readiness for treatment.
• Treatment Planning: Develop and regularly update personalized recovery plans that outline specific goals, strategies, and therapeutic interventions.
• Individual & Group Therapy: Facilitate one-on-one sessions to explore underlying causes of addiction and lead group discussions to provide peer support.
• Crisis Intervention: Manage emergency situations where a client may be a danger to themselves or others.
• Family Education: Counsel family members on the disease of addiction and teach them supportive strategies for the patient’s recovery.
• Discharge & Aftercare: Plan the client’s transition out of the facility, including referrals to support groups (like AA/NA) or employment services.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed, confidential clinical records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and provide progress reports to courts or parole officers if required.
