Job summary

Robin Recovery in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Licensed Counselor on a PRN basis to provide clinical support to individuals recovering from chemical dependencies. You will guide clients through psychological and behavioral aspects of recovery while coordinating with a multidisciplinary medical team.

The role involves conducting assessments, treatment planning, and delivering individual and group therapy in office, program settings, and community environments.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or Equivalent.
• Licenses: CDCA, QMHS, LSW, LCDC, LPC or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Assessments: Evaluate client’s mental and physical health, the severity of their addiction, and their readiness for treatment.
• Treatment Planning: Develop and regularly update personalized recovery plans that outline specific goals, strategies, and therapeutic interventions.
• Individual & Group Therapy: Facilitate one-on-one sessions to explore underlying causes of addiction and lead group discussions to provide peer support.
• Crisis Intervention: Manage emergency situations where a client may be a danger to themselves or others.
• Family Education: Counsel family members on the disease of addiction and teach them supportive strategies for the patient’s recovery.
• Discharge & Aftercare: Plan the client’s transition out of the facility, including referrals to support groups (like AA/NA) or employment services.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed, confidential clinical records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and provide progress reports to courts or parole officers if required.
