Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Ferriday is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you'll conduct therapy sessions, complete treatment plans, and collaborate with families and external agencies. A Master’s degree in a relevant field and a valid Louisiana license are required. Prior experience with adult populations is essential, and working with adolescents is a plus. As a Licensed Mental Health Professional, you will be a vital member of our multi-disciplinary team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that high-quality, therapeutic services are delivered daily, with a strong focus on emotional, cognitive, developmental, social, and behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions aligned with program schedules
• Complete psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and external agencies
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and staffing’s
• Ensure documentation complies with facility and regulatory standards
• Provide crisis intervention and facilitate special case conferences when needed
• Maintain a therapeutic, safe, and supportive environment for patients
• Uphold all facility policies and regulatory guidelines

Requirements:

• Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field
• Licensure: Must hold a current and active license in the state of Louisiana (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, PLPC, etc.)

Experience:

• Previous experience working with adult and/or geriatric populations is required
• Experience working with adolescents is strongly preferred
