Job summary

The Center for Human Development (CHD) in Springfield, MA is hiring a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor to support adults in ACCS. You will provide patient-centered, recovery-focused interventions, engage clients in planning, and collaborate with the ACCS team to expand access to community resources.

A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available, paid in two installments. Qualified candidates will have LADC I or equivalent credentials and experience in addiction treatment; a valid driver's license is

Qualifications

• The preferred candidate holds an LADC I; CADC II/ CADC or LADC II also acceptable.
• 1–2 years of mental health or addiction treatment experience required or preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for work.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered, recovery-oriented interventions.
• Work with dually diagnosed individuals and connect to community resources.
• Utilize an Electronic Health Record system in daily work.
• Collaborate with ACCS team to support crisis response and safety.
• Engage in assessment and treatment planning addressing substance use.
