Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services in Massachusetts seeks a licensed Substance Abuse Counselor to join the Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) division. You will work within a multidisciplinary team in residential or community settings, focusing on recovery and evidence-based interventions.

The role requires leading dual diagnosis groups, motivating clients with brief interventions, and coordinating with community resources to sustain recovery. Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-4pm; Salary: $49,680–$58,680.

Qualifications

• Requires license (see below): LADC I, LADC II, CADC I or II
• At least 2 years of experience working with adults with substance use disorders
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with substance use disorders with side-by-side interventions as needed
• Promote recovery through individual intervention and support groups
• Assist clients and team members in identifying and obtaining community supports for sustained recovery
• Participate in assessments and treatment planning for clients
• Provide comprehensive recovery-based care as part of a multidisciplinary team
