Job summary

Marx Okubo Associates, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer at Associate level in a hybrid role based in Denver, CO. The position requires a CA PE license and 5+ years of experience, with a starting salary of $100,000-$125,000 plus discretionary bonuses.

You will act as a technical team member and project lead for commercial structures, collaborating with clients and internal teams while performing seismic risk assessments and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering required.
• CA PE license required; SE license in CA preferred.
• Minimum five years of structural engineering consulting experience.
• Strong understanding of building types and lateral load systems.
• Knowledge of seismic hazards and CBC/ASCE-7/ACI/AISC standards.
• Ability to manage projects and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical work for commercial structures and small projects.
• Review construction documents and perform structural analysis.
• Prepare detailed reports and assess seismic risk.
• Collaborate with clients, team, consultants, and site contacts.
• Support forensic investigations and retrofit design as needed.
