Job summary

Roscoe Care Center in North Hollywood, CA is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to join our skilled nursing team. You will provide speech and swallowing therapy to residents, create personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance resident communication and quality of life.

The ideal candidate has a state license, at least 2 years in healthcare/SNF, strong communication, and solid skills with medical records and healthcare tech.

Qualifications

  • Valid state licence as Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Minimum 2 years healthcare experience, SNF preferred.
  • Knowledge of speech therapy rules and regs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in medical records and healthcare tech.

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents' speech and swallowing skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Treat articulation, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
  • Educate residents and families on goals and home exercise plans.
