Saber Healthcare Group in Charlottesville, VA is hiring a Social Services professional to assist the Director in meeting the residents' emotional and social needs, and to help plan, organize, implement and oversee the community's Social Services Department in line with regulations and policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Social Worker within the state in which you work, if required by state/federal regulations.
• Must have experience in Long Term Care as well as behavioral health.
• Experience working in healthcare, either social services, direct care or hospitality, is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director to ensure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis.
• Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Social Services Department operations in accordance with standards and policies.
• Follow health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintain standards of practice.
