Job summary

PrimeCare Medical is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW/LCSW) to work as a Behavioral Health Professional at the Westmoreland County Prison in Greensburg, PA. This is a part-time position with Saturday and Sunday 8:00am–12:00pm shifts.

Responsibilities include clinical assessments, risk assessments, and serving as a mental health liaison. Requires a Master’s degree and PA licensure, with a minimum of two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a LPC, LSW, or LCSW in Pennsylvania.
• Master’s degree or greater in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Service field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and document findings including mental status examination and treatment plan.
• Perform risk assessments using structured tools; manage up to inmates at risk of self-harm per policy.
• Serve as PCM mental health liaison for services outside the facility.
• Facilitate admission to forensic hospitals when necessary.
• Monitor mental health and standards of care per NCCHC guidelines.
• Develop and deliver in-service education and monthly performance reports.

PrimeCare Medical is currently looking for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW or LCSW) to work as a Behavioral Health Professional in the medical department at the Westmoreland County Prison located in Greensburg, PA.

This a Part Time position working Saturday & Sunday 8:00am-12:00pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments based on referrals and self-referrals. Assessments include documentation of findings, including at a minimum a mental status examination and case conceptualization, diagnosis, and treatment plan. Makes referrals to psychiatry when appropriate.
• Risk assessments are to be conducted utilizing structured interviews and risk assessment tools. Inmates at risk for suicide and / or engaging in self-harm are managed utilizing existing protocols according to current policy and procedures.
• Serve as the PrimeCare Medical (PCM) mental health liaison for mental health services, outside the facility.
• Facilitates admission and placement of inmates/patients to forensic hospitals when necessary.
• Monitors all mental health services provided.
• Monitors clinical services to ensure that standards of care are in accordance with NCCHC and accepted psychiatric/ psychological standards.
• Is a member of the Quality Assurance Committee.
• Develops and conducts in-service education programs according to annual in-service calendar.
• Collects data and prepares monthly reports, which reflect performance.

Benefits

• Salaries are negotiable and commensurate based on experience.
• Part Time PTO package provided and accrued at the rate of 1.0 hour for every 30.0 hours of straight time worked. Max number of PTO hours that may be accrued is 64.0 hours.

• Must be licensed as a LPC, LSW, or LCSW in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Must hold a Master’s degree or greater in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Service field with a concentration in clinical course work, training and/or experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience.
