PrimeCare Medical, Inc. (PCM) is actively recruiting a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LCPC) to work as a Behavioral Health Professional traveling among Maryland detention facilities.

This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role operates Monday–Friday, typically from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The position requires MD licensure (LCPC or LCSW-C) and a master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field with clinical concentration.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a LCPC or LCSW-C in Maryland.
• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Service field with clinical coursework.
• Minimum of two years of experience; substance abuse/MAT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments based on referrals and self-referrals, including mental status exam and case conceptualization; make referrals to psychiatry as appropriate.
• Conduct risk assessments using structured interviews and risk tools; manage inmates at risk per policy.
• Serve as PrimeCare Mental Health liaison for services outside the facility.
• Facilitate admission and placement to forensic hospitals when necessary.
• Monitor all mental health services and standards of care per NCCHC/psychiatric norms.
• Be a member of the Quality Assurance Committee.
• Develop and conduct in-service education programs annually.
• Collect data and prepare monthly performance reports.

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. (i.e., PCM) is a privately owned, physician founded, nationally accredited correctional healthcare practice. We are actively recruiting for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LCPC) to work as a Behavioral Health Professional traveling within the following correctional facilities:

• Carroll County Detention Center: 100 N. Court St., Westminster, MD 21157
• Charles County Detention Center: 6905 Crain Highway, LaPlata, MD 20646
• St. Mary's Detention Center: 41880 Baldridge St., Leonardtown, MD 20650
• Jennifer Road Detention Center: 131 Jennifer Rd, Annapolis, MD 21401
• Baltimore County Detention Center: 720 Bosley Ave, Towson, MD 21204

This position requires ability to travel and work in each of the facilities listed above. This a Full-Time 40-hour position, Monday - Friday, during normal business hours (8:00am- 4:30pm).

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments based on referrals and self-referrals. Assessments include documentation of findings, including at a minimum a mental status examination and case conceptualization, diagnosis, and treatment plan. Makes referrals to psychiatry when appropriate.
• Risk assessments are to be conducted utilizing structured interviews and risk assessment tools. Inmates at risk for suicide and/or engaging in self-harm are managed utilizing existing protocols according to current policy and procedures.
• Serve as the PrimeCare Medical (PCM) mental health liaison for mental health services, outside the facility.
• Facilitates admission and placement of inmates/patients to forensic hospitals when necessary.
• Monitors all mental health services provided.
• Monitors clinical services to ensure that standards of care are in accordance with NCCHC and accepted psychiatric/ psychological standards.
• Is a member of the Quality Assurance Committee.
• Develops and conducts in-service education programs according to annual in-service calendar.
• Collects data and prepares monthly reports, which reflect performance

• Salaries are negotiable and commensurate based on experience. Annual Salary range is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00

You are also eligible to accrue sick and safe leave benefits under Maryland’s Healthy Working Families Act (i.e., MDSSL). MDSSL accrues at a rate of one (1) hour for every thirty (30) hours of straight time worked, for a maximum annual accrual of sixty-four (64) hours.

Requirements

• Must hold a master’s degree or greater in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Service field with a concentration in clinical course work, training and/or experience.
