Job summary

Backpack Healthcare is seeking a Michigan-licensed mental health therapist for part-time, telehealth work from home. You will provide individual and family therapy to youth, with flexible scheduling and administrative support provided by the organization.

Clinicians see 15–22 sessions weekly, typically 2:00–9:00 PM EST, with weekend availability welcomed. Compensation includes $60 per billable hour, monthly bonuses, and benefits, including 100% remote work.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan independent license (LPC, LMSW, or LMFT).
• Experience with children, adolescents and families; passion for this population.
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and documentation skills.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.
• Bilingual English/Spanish encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments.
• Develop individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based individual and family therapy via secure telehealth.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team (therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, care coordinators).
• Complete timely clinical documentation in the EHR.
• Support families through education, collaboration and coordinated care.

What You’ll Do

You’ll provide 15–22 telehealth sessions per week, delivering individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults throughout Michigan.

Most clinicians see clients during weekday afternoons and evenings (2:00–9:00 PM EST), with weekend availability welcomed.

You create your schedule—we provide the referrals, administrative support, billing, and credentialing.

Your day‑to‑day includes:

• Conducting comprehensive behavioral health assessments
• Developing individualized, trauma‑informed treatment plans
• Providing evidence‑based individual and family therapy via secure telehealth
• Collaborating with our interdisciplinary care team, including therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and care coordinators
• Completing timely, accurate clinical documentation within our electronic health record (EHR)
• Supporting families through education, collaboration, and coordinated care

Competitive Compensation + Monthly Bonus Potential

What You’ll Earn:

• $60 per billable hour for independently licensed clinicians

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking clinicians who have:

• An active Michigan independent license (LPC, LMSW, or LMFT)
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families—or a passion for serving this population
• The ability to work independently in a virtual environment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
• A commitment to trauma‑informed, culturally responsive care
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply.
