Apple Rehab in Avon, CT is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our caring team. You will provide specialized speech therapy to residents, assess needs with the Rehabilitation Director, and implement individualized programs to improve functional communication and swallowing abilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited SLP program with CCC or CFY; eligible for licensure.
• Prior experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Rehabilitation Director to assess, develop, organize, and implement individualized resident care programs using specialized Speech Therapy (ST) procedures.
• Efficiently manage caseload, identifying residents through screening processes, and scheduling individual or group treatments while meeting productivity expectations.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on Speech Therapy techniques for continuation post-discharge.
• Maintain adherence to PPS guidelines, ensuring accurate documentation and billing procedures.
• Provide supervision and education for therapy technicians and affiliated students under the guidance of the Rehabilitation Director.
• Ensure a safe and hygienic environment, and comply with ethical, regulatory, and professional standards.
