Job summary

Restivo's Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a Licensed Sheet Metal Fabricator in Johnston, RI to fabricate HVAC ductwork and related components for residential and commercial installations. You will read blueprints, cut and shape metal, and coordinate with project managers to meet schedules and quality standards.

The role requires a RI license, 3+ years of fabrication experience, and ability to operate shop equipment safely in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Rhode Island Sheet Metal License required.
• 3+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience, preferably HVAC.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC duct fabrication methods and SMACNA standards.
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and fabrication layouts.
• Experience operating sheet metal fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate rectangular, round, and specialty HVAC ductwork using galvanized sheet metal and other materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications.
• Measure, cut, bend, assemble, and finish sheet metal components to precise dimensions.
• Operate fabrication equipment, including brakes, shears, rollers, plasma tables, lock formers, and other shop machinery.
• Ensure all fabricated materials meet company quality standards and project specifications.
• Organize completed materials for installation crews and coordinate production schedules with project managers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication shop.
• Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and proper fit.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Assist with inventory management and material usage to minimize waste.

What You'll Own

• Strong mathematical and measurement skills.

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a physically demanding shop environment.
