Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center (Nwoesc) seeks a Social Worker - Licensed Independent (LISW) to serve as a substitute across multiple locations in Archbold, Ohio. The role focuses on counseling and psychosocial interventions to support students.

Reports to assigned administrator; starting immediately; daily substitute with compensation per district schedule. Requires LISW Level 2 and Ohio pupil services licensure; application deadline Oct 31, 2026.

Qualifications

• Holds/maintains valid Ohio licensure/certification for social work: Level 2 (LISW).
• Must obtain a Pupil Services Registration or Licensure issued by the Ohio State Board of Education.
• Meets all qualifications and training requirements described in the Ohio Administrative Code scope of practice for social work.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the social/emotional needs of students related to learning and develops intervention plans.
• Serves as a case manager, develops treatment plans, and provides one-on-one therapeutic services.
• Initiates contact with parents and community resources to address student issues.
• Collaborates with school staff to address student behavior problems and crisis management.
• Keeps accurate records and participates in meetings and district initiatives.
