Job summary

TAG MedStaffing in New York is seeking a Licensed School Counselor (LCSW or LMHC) in Queens to support students in school-based counseling and mental health settings. You will provide individual and group counseling, help students achieve IEP-aligned goals, and foster social, emotional, and behavioral skills for classroom success.

Qualifications include a Master’s in a related field and active NY licensure; NY School Counselor certification is preferred; prior school-based counseling experience

Qualifications

Master’s degree in School Counseling, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
Active New York State LCSW or LMHC licensure.
New York State School Counselor certification is preferred.
Experience in school-based counseling or student behavioral health is preferred.

Responsibilities

Counseling Support: Provide individual and group counseling services to students with social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
Student Development: Support students with coping skills, emotional regulation, peer relationships, and classroom readiness.
IEP & Care Coordination: Collaborate with school teams, providers, and families to support IEP goals, intervention plans, and student progress.
