Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Counseling, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field.
• Active New York State LCSW or LMHC licensure.
• New York State School Counselor certification is preferred.
• Experience in school-based counseling or behavioral health preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Counseling Support: Provide individual and group counseling services to students with social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
• Student Development: Support students with coping skills, emotional regulation, peer relationships, and classroom readiness.
• IEP & Care Coordination: Collaborate with school teams, providers, and families to support IEP goals, intervention plans, and student progress.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate counseling notes, progress updates, and required documentation in alignment with school-based requirements.
