Job summary

Heart of Florida Health Center is seeking a School-Based Licensed Clinical Therapist to provide assessments, psychotherapy, and referrals at our East Marion Elementary service site. You will deliver individual, group, and family therapy addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues in students, staff, and families.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team of medical providers and psychiatric nurses to ensure comprehensive care for the school community, while safeguarding

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, mental health, psychology or related field.
• Active, unrestricted Florida licensure as LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT (or eligible intern).
• Clinical experience in behavioral health assessment, counseling, or psychotherapy.
• Experience with school-based, pediatric, or child-serving settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and delivers individual, group, or family therapy to students and families.
• Uses evidence-based models (CBT, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation).
• Assesses patients using biopsychosocial approach and standard tools (GAD-7, PHQ-9, etc).
• Maintains accurate records and documents assessments and treatment plans.
• Collaborates with parents, school staff, and other professionals while maintaining confidentiality.
• Provides crisis intervention and short-term counseling as needed.
