Job summary

Effective School Solutions is seeking a licensed clinician to provide school-based mental health services across Lakeland, Florida. You will deliver individual, group, and family therapy within public schools, while coordinating with families and school partners to support students’ emotional and academic success.

The role emphasizes risk assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Active clinical license in the state where services are provided (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with children/adolescents with behavioral and emotional needs.
• Experience collaborating with schools, families, and community services.
• Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in clinical documentation and electronic systems (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based mental health services including individual, group, and family therapy, plus intake and assessments.
• Partner with families and deliver parent support programming.
• Conduct risk assessments and crisis intervention; coordinate referrals as needed.
• Develop individualized evidence-based treatment plans to support emotional, behavioral, and academic goals.
• Oversee day-to-day clinical operations of the school-based program and serve as primary clinical contact for school partners.
• Collaborate with families, school staff, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care and provide training on mental health practices.
