Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. is a Long-Term Care pharmacy serving facilities and assisted living communities. We are seeking a licensed pharmacist to evaluate orders, ensure accurate dispensing, and collaborate with care teams to optimize medication care.

The ideal candidate holds PA licensure (MD license a plus) and has experience in LTC settings, with strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail. Independent, reliable multi-tasking and computer literacy are essential for this role.

Qualifications

Active Pharmacist license with PA Board of Pharmacy required.
MD license is a plus.
Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
Must be multi-tasking and reliable.
Computer literate, LTC systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
Ensure that dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
Communicate with facilities' nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding medication-related queries.
Supervise the preparation of medicines.
