Job summary

Mercy seeks a respiratory care therapist to set up and operate respiratory equipment for pulmonary diagnosis and treatment. The role works under the supervision of the lead therapist and department manager, with physician direction to ensure patient care aligns with standards.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, NBRC-approved program completion, and state licensure. BLS/CPR is also required to maintain patient safety and care quality at Mercy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of a program approved by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Registered/licensed with state Board for Respiratory Care.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment.
• Work under supervision of lead therapist and department manager, with physician requests.
• Provide care in accordance with department guidelines and patient needs.
