Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in recreational programming for mental health.
• Must hold Nevada licensure (CTRS, art therapy, or music therapy) and a valid Nevada driver's license.
• BLS and Handle with Care certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive recreational therapy programs for patients ages 6-17.
• Lead and supervise a team of recreational therapists and activity coordinators; provide mentorship and evaluations.
• Conduct patient assessments to determine needs and develop personalized treatment plans using modalities like music, dance, art, yoga, swimming, equine-assisted activities, and group sessions.
• Coordinate with nursing, mental health professionals, case managers, and families to ensure holistic care.
• Manage medical documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
