Job summary

AccentCare is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Culver City to join our clinical team. The PTA works under a licensed Physical Therapist, supports patient care, education, documentation, and contributes to the interdisciplinary approach to recovery.

This full-time role requires an Associate degree in PT, a valid state license, CPR certification, and a willingness to travel between local sites. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8 am–5 pm, with focus on home safety education.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited PT program.
• Valid license/permit to practice in state of operation.
• CPR certification must be maintained.
• Licensed driver willing to travel to all locations.
• Ability to implement care plans and communicate findings to PT/physician.
• Ability to educate patients and families on home safety and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and documents treatment per physician orders and patient needs.
• Documents interventions, approaches, strategies, materials and priorities.
• Delivers organized patient treatment, including education and counseling.
• Presents patient information to supervising therapist and informs the team of status.
• Provides skilled treatment according to patient needs and agency/ payer parameters.
• Seeks assistance from team in planning and intervention.
• Documents daily notes and forms to prevent interruptions in care.
• Meets productivity standards and uses hours efficiently.
• Attends agency meetings and committees as assigned.
• Negotiates patient participation in treatment times and plans.
