Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in physical therapy with supervised clinical internship.
• Must hold current Arkansas license to practice PTA.
• 1–3 months of on-the-job training to learn department procedures.
• Must perform duties of a registered physical therapist assistant.
• Safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of patient care in accordance with hospital regulations and policies.
• Confers with the physical therapist and medical staff on patient care.
• Supervises therapy aides.
• Assist with securing and maintaining equipment needed for procedures, charging, and scheduling.
• Active participation in continuous quality improvement studies.
