Job summary

Southeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Outpatient Rehabilitation team in Brunswick, GA. You will assist licensed physical therapists in delivering prescribed therapy programs, helping patients regain function and independence.

Under supervision, you will educate patients and families, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to a culture of service excellence across our network.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (required).
• Current Georgia licensure to practice as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (required).
• Previous experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or outpatient rehab is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Practicing Physical Therapy consistent with the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
• Respecting and understanding the patient’s right to treatment and involvement in decisions.
• Implementing rehabilitation plans with patients and families, including goal attainment and documentation to maximize financial remuneration.
• Communicating with care teams and keeping involved parties informed of patient needs and progress.
• Educating patients, families, and other care providers on therapy techniques and practice skills.
• Participating in improving patient satisfaction and department procedures.
• Compliance with Joint Commission standards at department and organizational levels.
