Job summary

Ellie Mental Health - Freehold Central is hiring a New Jersey–licensed psychologist to launch and lead psychological testing at our practice. Ellie is a minority- and woman-owned group psychotherapy practice serving New Jersey in person and virtually, with offices in Woodbridge and Freehold.

You will build our assessment service from the ground up, working alongside our therapists to give clients clear answers and better treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in clinical, counseling, or school psychology (PhD or PsyD).
• Active, unrestricted license as a psychologist in New Jersey or eligible for licensure by start date.
• Experience in psychological assessment: test selection, administration, interpretation, and report writing.
• Proficiency with core instruments WAIS, WISC, WIAT, MMPI-3, PAI, ADOS-2.
• Strong clinical writing and ability to explain results in plain language.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults.
• Select, administer, score, and interpret cognitive, achievement, personality, and diagnostic instruments.
• Write clear, timely integrated reports with practical recommendations.
• Hold feedback sessions with clients and families.
• Consult with therapists on referrals, questions, and treatment planning.
• Help build the testing program: library, intake and referral workflow, and report templates.
• Supervise psychometrists or doctoral trainees as the program grows.
• Ensure documentation complies with NJ Board rules and payer requirements.
