Job summary

UC San Diego Health's Center for Healthy Eating and Activity Research in the Department of Pediatrics conducts behavioral-therapy studies to reduce obesity across children, adolescents, and adults. The role supports therapy trials, oversees treatments, and leads group and individual sessions.

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology with 1 year post-doctoral experience or equivalent.
• Licensed as a Psychologist by the State of California.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical work with children, adolescents and/or adults.
• Experience in treating obesity and/or eating disorders.
• Experience in psychiatric evaluations, tests, and clinical reports.
• Experience in therapy and multi-treatment planning.
• Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support behavioral-therapy trials for overweight/obese individuals or those who binge eat.
• Oversee all treatments and review intervention audiofiles for fidelity of assessments and interventions.
• Lead treatment for individual and group child, adolescent, and adult trials.
• Train and supervise staff and trainees; provide consultation to related staff.
• Prepare clinical reports and formulate treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the treatment team and external sites
