Job summary

Sierra Health and Wellness in Orangevale, CA is seeking Licensed Psychiatric Technicians (LVN) and PTs for per diem shifts in our 15-bed inpatient facility. You will provide patient-centered care, review medical records, and implement physician orders in collaboration with the health care team.

Required: current PT license or LVN, valid driver’s license, HIPAA compliance, CPR/First Aid certification, and health screening.

Qualifications

• Current Psychiatric Technician (PT) license or LVN.
• Possess CPR/First Aid certification.
• Familiar with HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights.
• Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current TB test and health screen.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of patient care.
• Provide outstanding, individualized resident care and medical support to clients as needed.
• Prepare and review medical records and nurses' notes to evaluate the resident's physical and emotional status.
• Provide care according to the Physician's orders, care plans, established standards, policies and procedures.
• Prepare and monitor patient administered medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
• Monitor and report adverse reactions to medications and treatment to the RN and/or Physician.
• Sign, date and perform all charting, record keeping and care plans in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Utilize infection control procedures and crisis intervention techniques.
• Ensure compliance with State licensing standards and accreditation standards.
• Adhere to and uphold the policies and procedures of the company.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and provide client assistance in crisis intervention situations.
• Maintain EMR and collaborate with the healthcare team.
