Job summary

Zohorecruit in Corcoran, California is seeking a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to provide basic behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to mentally or developmentally disabled patients. The position requires an active LPT license and Basic Life Support certification, with 1 year of LPT experience preferred.

Under the supervision of an RN or MD, you will perform nursing procedures, administer medications and treatments, and monitor vital signs.

Qualifications

• Basic level nursing care for mentally or developmentally disabled patients.
• Daily rounds and monitoring for signs of mental illness.
• Under supervision of RN/MD, perform psychiatric nursing procedures including med administration and injections, and vitals.

Responsibilities

• Give a basic level of general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to mentally or developmentally disabled patient.
• Conduct daily clinical rounds and monitoring of the patient with signs and symptoms of mental illness.
• Under general supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Doctor (MD), perform psychiatric nursing procedures, such as administer medications and treatments, including hypodermic injections, take and chart temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration, and all other basic general nursing procedures within the scope of licensure
