Job description

Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) – $2,500 Bonus

Compensation: $40.50 - $45.00 per hour

Department: Mental Health

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and monitor patients with mental health or developmental needs.
• Support hygiene, feeding, and daily living tasks while tracking patient progress.
• Respond to behavioral emergencies using trained techniques and first aid.
• Perform nursing-delegated tasks such as vital signs and specimen collection.
• Ensure safety and infection control through regular rounds and standard precautions.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

• High school diploma and specialized training for licensing/certification(s).

Experience:

• Experience facilitating groups with mental health patients.
• One year of experience; within a correctional/detention facility preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current (and must maintain) unrestricted Psychiatric Technician license in state of practice.
• Current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS certification through AHA.
• Current (and must maintain) lifesaving ACLS certification through AHA.
