Job summary

Generations Healthcare's Claremont Hacienda in Claremont, CA is hiring Licensed Psychiatric Tech (LPT)/LVN for Per Diem AM shift (12 hours). Per job wage is $36-$42 per hour DOE. The position focuses on monitoring residents, administering medications, and supporting recovery in a MHRC setting.

You must hold a current LPT/LVN license, read/write/speak English, and demonstrate care for age-related resident needs. Background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as LPT in this state.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care for residents.

Responsibilities

• Monitors residents’ physical and emotional well-being and reports unusual behavior or needs to nursing supervisors.
• Observes and influences residents’ behavior, communicating and interacting with them.
• Administers medications within licensure standards; records medications and documents accordingly.
• Encourages residents to participate in social, recreational and interpersonal activities.
• Collaborates with therapists to support residents’ well-being and recovery.
• Develops and teaches strategies to promote wellness and independence.
• Utilizes methods to de-escalate aggressive behavior.
• Assists CNAs in ADLs.
• Participates in admissions, care conferences, and discharges as necessary.
• Models safe working habits to create a safe workplace and home environment for staff and residents.
• Follows HIPAA, resident rights, and applicable mandates.

• Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
