Job summary

Aurora San Diego is seeking an LPT/LVN to provide direct patient care to adults with psychiatric disorders under clinical supervision. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the organization’s philosophy of care.

You will administer medications, assist dietary needs, and update care plans under RN supervision. BLS certification and CA LVN license are required; two years of psychiatric experience preferred. Salary range is $35–$40 per hour with full-time shifts available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved vocational nursing program.
• Current California LVN license or Psychiatric Technician license (must provide license number).
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association).
• Two years of acute psychiatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient medications.
• Assist dietary staff with dietary needs and ensure compliance with orders.
• Complete nursing assignments under RN supervision.
• Update treatment plans under RN supervision.
• Participate in treatment planning and identify patient needs and strengths.
• Suggest modifications to treatment plans based on observations.
• Provide input into discharge planning.
• Accompany and transport patients as assigned.
• Facilitate patient community meetings and maintain documentation.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and support operations.
