Job summary

Elwyn is hiring a Licensed Psychiatric Technician to provide direct care and nursing support to residents with developmental and behavioral health needs in Santa Clara, CA. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to implement care plans and promote residents' health, safety, and independence.

Responsibilities include teaching daily living skills, supervising activities, and documenting care while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Possess and maintain a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
• Minimum 1 year experience with Human Services field preferred.
• DOJ and FBI fingerprint and criminal clearance required.
• Health screening with clear TB test within 1 year prior to hire or within 7 days after hire.
• Complete trainings including DSP1, DSP2, First Aid, CPR/AED.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing procedures within LPT scope of practice.
• Assist residents with self-care and activities of daily living.
• Implement Behavior Plans and Health Care Plans.
• Participate in ISP/IPP development and overall programming for residents.
• Supervise residents during dining and activities; report safety concerns.
• Maintain trainings, documentation, and shift lead communications.
