Job summary

Elwyn is hiring a Licensed Psychiatric Technician in Santa Rosa, California. The role provides direct care, behavior management, and nursing procedures for residents with developmental and behavioral needs.

You will join an interdisciplinary team and may lead DSPs on shifts while ensuring safety and privacy. Requirements include a CA LPT license, DOJ/FBI clearances, health screening, and mandatory trainings.

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychiatric Technician license required in California.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Must obtain DOJ and FBI fingerprint/criminal clearance.
• Health screening with clear TB test within 1 year prior to hire or within 7 days after hire.
• Complete trainings required by regulations (DSP1, DSP2, First Aid, CPR/AED).
• Valid driver’s license with at least two years driving experience and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing procedures within LPT scope of practice.
• Assist residents in self-care, medication administration, and daily living skills.
• Implement Behavior Plans and Health Care Plans.
• Participate in ISP/IPP development and resident programming.
• Supervise and guide DSPs on shift as lead staff when required.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and private environment for residents.
• Document behavior/medical concerns and report to supervisory staff.
• Attend meetings and trainings; remain on duty until relieved.
