Job summary

Long & Foster Inc. seeks an experienced property manager to cultivate agent partnerships, onboard accounts, and market rental properties through MLS while advising owners on improvements, pricing, and showings.

The role handles lease preparation, funds collection, delinquency monitoring, and renewal negotiations, with regular owner communications and field travel. A real estate license and residential PM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent training/experience.
• Real estate license in jurisdictions where properties are located.
• Residential property management experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills including both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and with a team; flexible schedule.
• Knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping fundamentals is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates partnerships with local real estate offices by marketing property management services to agents and managers.
• Onboards new accounts, advising owners on marketability, improvements, and pricing.
• Markets rental properties via MLS and informs owners about showings, feedback and applicants.
• Processes tenancy applications after screening with owner consultation.
• Coordinates inspections for lease compliance, maintenance oversight and renewal recommendations.
• Prepares leases, collects funds, monitors rent arrears and initiates actions when needed.
• Coordinates and negotiates lease renewals and rent increases.
• Keeps owners informed of actions and required funds; maintains property files.
• Communicates vacancies, leasing activity, applications, and legal matters to owners.
• Stays informed on maintenance and inspections; travel by personal vehicle.
