Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a Project Surveyor I in Fort Worth, TX to lead survey projects and mentor staff. The role offers development opportunities for newly licensed surveyors within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include supervising field and office teams, coordinating with engineers and clients, and delivering accurate field data, plats, and boundary descriptions. The position follows a standard 8am–5pm schedule with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Professional Surveyor in the state of employment.
• 0-4 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Surveyor.
• Experience with ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys for design, and construction staking.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and review field and office staff on land surveying projects.
• Collaborate with engineering staff and clients to meet project requirements.
• Provide guidance to Survey Technicians and Surveyors in Training.
• Manage and schedule projects to ensure timely completion.
• Perform calculations and prepare field packages as required.
• Process field data into plats and legal descriptions.
• Perform quality control reviews of drawings and descriptions.
• Resolve boundaries of properties and oversee boundary construction.
