Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a Project Engineer to lead on-site development projects, owning technical deliverables from concept through final design and coordinating with clients and agencies.

This role requires an ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, a PE license, and 4+ years of progressive engineering experience, with strong communication and leadership skills. Normal hours are Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of design standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient with engineering design software and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and preparation of land development plans for site/commercial projects.
• Develop grading, drainage, utility, and roadway layouts to meet objectives and regulations.
• Coordinate permitting and agency approvals for site development projects.
• Review work by engineers and technicians to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate across disciplines.
