Summit Oaks Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, in Summit, NJ, seeks a licensed Program Therapist (Per-Diem) to join the inpatient behavioral health team. The role provides social work services, crisis intervention, short-term therapy, and information/referrals while supporting emotional health, five days a week with one weekend per month.

Qualifications include a Master's in Social Work or a related field and a state license (LSW/LCSW/LAC/LPC/LCADC); two years in psychiatric care

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or clinical related mental health field.
• Minimum of two years in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills preferred.
• State license in discipline (LSW/LCSW/LAC/LPC/LCADC).

Responsabilités

• Form educational, therapeutic, and/or support groups.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, health care team, and community providers.
• Interact with community agencies in assessment of and service to patients.
• Knowledge of family and group therapy techniques.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention procedures.
• Knowledge of therapeutic planning and techniques.
• Conduct individual/couples/family counseling when indicated.
• Evaluate and document effectiveness of interventions and patient responses.
• Participate in patient care conferences and treatment planning rounds.
• Maintain knowledge of children's development and seek nurse guidance when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
