Job summary

ROWI Teen & Parent Wellness Centers is seeking a Program Director to lead clinical operations, ensure quality care, and manage staff in a fast-paced adolescent mental health program.

The role requires a Master’s degree and valid licensure (MFT, psychologist, or social worker), at least two years in a treatment or hospital setting, and demonstrated leadership. You will oversee audits, team meetings, budgeting, and program development, with a supportive, care-driven culture.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (MFT, Counseling, Psychology or Social Work).
  • Licensed as an MFT, clinical psychologist or social worker.
  • Two years of experience in treatment or hospital settings.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Audits EMR and clinical documentation; communicates with senior leaders.
  • Communicates with management, program participants and families.
  • Maintains documentation standards and timelines.
  • Supports DMHC appeals with the Director of Clinical Compliance.
  • Conducts on-site utilization reviews and monitors census development.
  • Delivers and maintains the program schedule in ROWI compliance.
  • Leads peer reviews with the Director of Clinical Compliance.
  • Oversees treatment team and weekly staff meetings.
  • Oversees Parent Satisfaction Survey completion and review.
  • Supervises therapists to ensure treatment plans are implemented.
  • Monitors staff morale and builds team continuity.
  • Participates in interviews for prospective staff.
  • Manages crises; available by phone evenings and weekends.
  • Completes performance reviews and sets goals for the year.
  • Serves as a role model with a caring, professional attitude.
  • Maintains client confidentiality and adheres to dress code.
  • Completes tasks timely and accurately; adheres to budgets.
  • Contributes actively to program schedule development.
  • Any additional duties as assigned by management.

About the role
Key Responsibilities of the Program Director:
  • Audits EMR and all clinical documentation and communicates with Director of Clinical Services and Director of Clinical Compliance.

  • Assists the Director of Clinical Compliance with DMHC appeals.
  • Conducts and manages on-site utilization reviews and monitors census development.
  • Delivery and maintenance of program schedule that is in compliance with ROWI standards.
  • Works effectively with the Director of Clinical Compliance on Peer Reviews.
  • Oversees interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and weekly staff meetings.
  • Oversees the completion and review of the Parent Satisfaction Survey upon discharge.
  • Supervises therapists to ensure treatment plans are being implemented and updated.
  • Monitor and assess staff morale and build team spirit and continuity.
  • Participate in the interview process with the Director of Clinical Services to determine the appropriateness and qualifications of prospective staff members.
  • Manages crisis or emergency situations as needed; is available by telephone evenings and weekends.
  • Completes performance reviews of the program staff, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and goals for the coming year.
  • Serve as a role model to treatment staff, clients, employees, and guests through a positive, caring, and professional attitude.
  • Maintain the confidential nature of clients and related activities.
  • Comply with the dress code.
  • Complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Adheres to program budgets.
  • Actively works on program schedule development.
  • Any additional duties as assigned by the management team.
Basic Education and Experience Required:
  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology or Social Work. The Program Director will be licensed as a MFT, clinical psychologist or social worker.
  • Two years of experience in treatment or hospital setting.
  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership ability and knowledge.
