Job summary

ROWI Teen & Parent Wellness Centers is seeking a Primary Therapist to guide adolescents and families through therapeutic journeys. The position is fully on-site at the Corona location, focusing on individual and family counseling, safety planning, and ongoing assessments.

You will maintain documentation, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and participate in discharge planning and group therapy. A Master’s degree and licensure eligibility are required, with 1 year of mental health

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Must be licensed or eligible as an MFT, Clinical Psychologist, or Social Worker; unlicensed clinicians receive supervision.
• 1 year of experience in the mental health field.
• Comfortable with basic computer operations and maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client safety continuously and develop safety plans.
• Maintain clinical documentation per ROWI and Joint Commission standards.
• Communicate safety and progress information to the interdisciplinary team.
• Deliver therapy sessions that meet the designated level of care.
• Engage with referral sources and outpatient professionals post-admission; provide updates.
• Collaborate on discharge planning and facilitate group therapy sessions (alumni and multi-family).
• Contribute to team meetings and maintain a caring, professional demeanor.
• Serve as a role model for clients and staff.

As a Primary Therapist under the guidance of the Program Director, you will be pivotal in guiding clients and their families through their transformative journey. In this role, you'll conduct individual and family counseling sessions tailored to each client’s needs, ensuring ongoing assessments, and maintaining documentation standards. This position will be fully on-site at our Corona location.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Must be licensed or eligible as an MFT, Clinical Psychologist, or Social Worker. Unlicensed clinicians will receive supervision.
• Experience: 1 year in the mental health field
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with basic computer operations and maintaining strict confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Additional Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and eligibility for insurance on agency vehicles.
• Current First-Aid & CPR Certifications and a satisfactory criminal background check.
