Requirements

• Conduct individual and couple counseling sessions using various therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychotherapy.
• Provide behavior management strategies and interventions for clients with developmental disabilities.
• Conduct clinical research to contribute to the field of counseling and behavioral health.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for clients.
• Provide counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults in various settings, including schools, clinics, and private practice.
• Offer support and guidance to families and caregivers of clients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

Skills

• Proficient in cognitive behavioral therapy techniques and interventions.
• Knowledge of behavior management strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities across the lifespan.
