Description

The Licensed Practice Manager (LPM) has accountability for all aspects of the location's business operations. As a 'people first' organization, the PM champions their team through development programs such as coaching, mentoring, and performance management. They create memorable experiences for patients, are responsible for driving top-line sales, increasing margins, controlling payroll expenses, and boosting profitability to meet the company's overall business objectives. The PM works directly with staff and OD partners to ensure the delivery of professional eye exams, medical services, quality product selection, acceptance of vision insurance plans, and exceptional patient service. The ideal candidate will be passionate about people, patient care, and embody the 'Acuity Way.'

Responsibilities

  1. Apply leadership, creative thinking, and analytical skills to improve individual practice performance and resolve operational issues.
  2. Build an effective, collaborative team to achieve results.
  3. Address the practice’s unique strengths and challenges with clear objectives, strategies, and plans.
  4. Establish clear objectives for staff, communicate expectations effectively, and set high performance standards.
  5. Set the standard for remarkable patient service and experience, utilizing the Acuity Way.
  6. Identify and recruit top talent aligned with AEG’s values for long-term sustainability.
  7. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
  8. Collect eye and face measurements to ensure proper fit.
  9. Interpret prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists.
  10. Collaborate with the District Manager to achieve and exceed financial plans.
  11. Learn quickly and adapt to new challenges, working towards creative solutions.
  12. Maintain a relentless focus on results and the development of others, sharing best practices within the AEG platform.
  13. Be a versatile learner, open to change and new ideas.
  14. Utilize resources efficiently to accomplish tasks and goals through superior service.
  15. Review daily sales, identify gaps, and implement solutions to close them.
  16. Reinforce the practice's selling strategy and the Acuity Way.
  17. Protect the company through loss prevention strategies.
  18. Partner with Human Resources to ensure employee adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of professional experience with leadership responsibilities.
  • State Licensure.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Business Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related management field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Optician Certification.
