Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and motivated Wound Care Nurse to join our team of wound care professionals. As part of our team, you would be responsible for providing care under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner.

Requirements: Must be a licensed practical/vocational nurse (LPN/LVN); bilingual candidates are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide primary skin care to residents, focusing on treatment and therapy of skin disorders.
2. Identify, manage, and treat skin disorders and lesions, such as abrasions, foot problems, decubitus ulcers, infections, and benign tumors.
3. Assist in treatment of dermatologic disorders under established protocols.
4. Document treatments and findings accurately in resident health records.
5. Deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients and team members.
6. Assist in evaluating and managing acute, chronic, surgical, and dermatologic wounds.
7. Track treatments and patient progress in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
8. Provide patient education and counseling tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid IL Practical/Vocational Nurse License (LPN/LVN).
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in an acute/subacute hospital environment with wound care experience.
• CPR and BLS certifications.
• Prior wound care certification and experience preferred.
