Intermountain Health seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care under supervision. The role supports patient care in a clinic/hospital setting with option for full-time, part-time, or PRN schedules.

You will perform injections, administer medications, monitor patient responses, and maintain records according to guidelines and regulations. A valid LPN license and BLS/ACLS are required, with experience preferred in clinics or specialty settings.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • Current/valid LPN/LVN license from the state licensing board.
  • BLS or ACLS certification required.
  • If applicable - Specialty certifications.
  • IV therapy preferred.
  • One year of clinic or acute hospital nursing experience preferred.
  • One year Specialty clinic experience preferred.

Responsabilités

  • Provide basic nursing care following standards and procedures.

  • Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, and basic tests.

Job Description: The LPN, under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician, or other specified health care professional, participates in patient care commensurate to Scope of Practice. We are open to a LPN working in a full time, part time or even PRN capacity!!

Scope
  • Performs basic nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
  • May perform specific nursing care as it relates to specialty of the practice.
  • Collects patient data such as vital signs; notes how the patient looks and acts, or responds to stimuli, and reports this information accordingly.
  • Prepares and administers injections, performs routine tests, treats wounds, and changes bandages.
  • Prepares patient records and files using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.
  • Administers medications within scope of license, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.
  • Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
  • Monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.
  • Conveys information to patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Participates in teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
  • Administers medications, IV therapy, blood draws and laboratory testing and resulting.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Required Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing program required
  • Current/valid Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse from the state licensing board is required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) is required
  • If applicable - Must have additional specialty certifications
  • May need IV Preferred
  • One (1) year experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting preferred
  • One (1) year Specialty clinic experience preferred

Responsibilities
  • Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required
  • Knowledge of basic nursing processes, and understanding of health care technology, equipment, and supplies.
  • Familiarity with state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations.
  • Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards patients.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
Physical Demands
  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. - and - Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. - and - Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. - and - Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items. - and - Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc). - and - May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $26.47 - $40.87
