Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week Call: Required Alternative Schedule Option: 36 hours per week, consisting of three 10-hour shifts and one 6-hour shift Call Frequency: Typically 9 to 11 call shifts during an 8-week scheduling period, depending on staffing levels Proposed Call Structure: One dedicated call week per staff member Call Coverage During Assigned Week: Evening/PM shifts Saturday daytime coverage Staff would generally not have additional call responsibilities for the remainder of the scheduling period after their assigned call week
