Job summary

Majestic Care Avon is seeking licensed practical nurses and registered nurses to join our compassionate team in the memory care unit. You will provide skilled nursing care, supervise CNAs, and support residents under nursing management guidance.

Responsibilities include assessing residents, documenting needs, administering medications, and coordinating care with other departments. Active LPN/RN license in good standing is required; CPR cert is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
• Active LPN or RN license in the employed state; license must be in good standing.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing care planning by coordinating with the team.
• Assess and document residents' condition and nursing needs.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments and document care.
• Follow physicians' orders accurately and promptly.
• Supervise CNAs to ensure high quality care within the memory care unit.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for nursing staff.
• Coordinate patient care during therapies or procedures by other departments.
• Respond to emergencies and act to protect residents' well‑being.

Position Overview

Majestic Care LPNs render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in the memory care unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an LPN or RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred but not required.
