Now part of the Saint Luke's Health System, Bishop Spencer Place is Kansas City's premier non-profit Life Care retirement community. Located between Westport and the Plaza, we offer our residents a special place to live and our employees a truly wonderful place to work.

We are seeking a highly qualified and career-minded Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our 57-bed skilled nursing center. This is a PRN position, requiring incumbents to work at least three shifts every six weeks. The role also involves floating to our Assisted Living unit as needed.

The LPN will provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the daily activities of CNAs. Key responsibilities include:

• Planning shift services, programs, and activities with assigned nursing personnel and overseeing nursing assistants
• Administering professional nursing services and medications in accordance with residents' care plans
• Assisting with admissions and discharges
• Collaborating with residents, families, and physicians on care, treatment, and rehabilitation plans
• Administering medications
• Visiting residents to assess their physical and emotional well-being
• Notifying physicians and next-of-kin of any changes in residents' conditions
• Reporting issues to the RN Supervisor or Clinical Director
• Maintaining excellent customer service and professional demeanor at all times

Job Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year Licensed Practical Nurse experience in Missouri, verified through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
