Job summary

Proactive MD is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the health and wellness center's clinical and clerical operations. The LPN assists the provider, performs tests and procedures, and may assist the Patient Advocate with employee engagement and outreach.

The role emphasizes patient triage, clinical testing, medication administration, and inventory management within a workplace health setting in Iowa.

Qualifications

  • Current state LPN license in good standing.
  • Current BLS certification is required.
  • Minimum one-year clinical experience as LPN is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality requirements and privacy practices.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, providers, and co-workers.
  • Triage, assess, provide treatments and follow-up information to prepare patients for the provider.
  • Perform tests such as selected laboratory tests, EKGs, spirometry, inhalation treatments, annual physicals, visual screening, audiometry, and CLIA waived testing.
  • Prepare medications and administer injections as ordered by the provider.
  • Assist providers with procedures and treatments as needed.
  • Check expiration dates on drugs, vaccines, and other products; dispose of expired items per guidelines.
  • Manage health center inventory and supply management.

Job Summary

The mission of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is to support the health and wellness center's clinical and clerical operations. As directed by the provider, the LPN assists the provider and performs appropriate tests and procedures. The LPN is responsible for administrative tasks for the health and wellness center and may assist the Patient Advocate in employee engagement and outreach.

Job Description
  • Maintain a professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, providers, and co-workers.
  • Prepares patients to be seen by the provider by triage, assessment, treatment procedures, and follow-up information.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality requirements
