What Is In It For You

Compensation is $28.00 - $36.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Care Coordination & Pre-Operative Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for patients navigating pre-operative requirements; coordinate with referring providers and outside practices to obtain required medical records, labs, and clearances; track and follow up on outstanding pre-operative documentation to ensure all requirements are complete before surgery; educate patients on timelines, required tests, and next steps in the pre-op process.
  • Email & Communication Management: Triage the Plastic Surgery Department’s shared email inbox, respond to patient inquiries within scope of practice, and route clinical questions to the appropriate provider; communicate with patients, families, and care teams via phone, email, and patient portal in a timely and professional manner; escalate urgent clinical concerns to the surgeon, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner as appropriate.
  • Clinical & Aesthetic Service Line Support: Assist with in-office patient care, including taking vitals, preparing patients for procedures, and supporting post-procedure monitoring; support the aesthetics service line with treatments and procedures as permitted by LPN scope of practice (e.g., injections, wound care, dressing changes, IV hydration, etc., as directed); maintain inventory and prepare rooms for procedures to ensure smooth clinic flow; monitor patients during aesthetic services and provide post-treatment instructions as delegated.
  • Compliance & Professional Standards: Document all patient interactions and care coordination in the EMR system accurately and timely; ensure compliance with HIPAA and institutional protocols for patient confidentiality and recordkeeping; maintain up-to-date knowledge of LPN scope of practice in New York and complete all required continuing education.
Qualifications
  • Education, Licensure or Certification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration; CPR certification; BLS certification; LPN with an active license in the appropriate state (required).
  • Work Experience Or Related Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a surgical or specialty outpatient setting preferred; aesthetics or plastic surgery experience a plus; previous aesthetic experience.
  • Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities; comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) and managing digital communications; professional, empathetic, and patient-focused demeanor.
