Job summary

La Posada Green Valley, AZ is seeking a dedicated LPN/LVN to join its care team. Under supervision of the LPN Supervisor you will administer and document medications and treatments, assess residents, and support admissions and charting.

The ideal candidate holds an approved LPN/LVN diploma, Arizona license, CPR/First Aid, TB test, and a fingerprint clearance card. EMR proficiency and compassionate, respectful care are essential.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
  • Current CPR and First Aid.
  • Fingerprint clearance card and TB test.
  • Current LPN license by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
  • Competent in email and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and documents oral, IM, or suppository medications.
  • Performs and documents all treatments.
  • Assesses residents for possible need of medication and/or treatment interventions.
  • Informs Clinical Manager of any significant change in residents' condition.
  • Orders and stores medication.
  • Maintains clean and neat medication cart and room.
  • Assists Clinical Manager with admissions, discharges, and charting.
  • Participates in all facility trainings and meetings.

Under the immediate supervision of the Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisor, the LPN is responsible for the administration and documentation of medications and treatments.

Essential Functions

Education: Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN school of nursing and certification of competence in medication administration.

Certifications and Licenses: Current CPR and First Aid cards, Fingerprint clearance card, current TB test. Current LPN license by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.

Computer Skills: Competent in the use of email and electronic medical records.
